Product Review and Install for The Tiger Tail Tow System

Besides when out riding, there are many times here at the shop and around our lot that we use our ATV to tow or move things around. Whether its a car with a dead battery or one of our U-Haul trailers we are always in need of a tow strap or chain.

Well instead of keeping a chain on the running board or tieing a strap to the rack and having to undo it or have it freeze, we decided to try out a Tiger Tail Tow System.

The Tiger Tail is a self retracting tow system that is perfect for any kind of towing on and off the trail. The retraction mechanism is fully sealed and lubricated. The unti is also 100% serviceable. The Tow rope is synthetic and has a wear resistent coating.

The Tiger Tail Tow system mounts to the stock hitch location and provides a readily accessible rope for all your towing needs. It also comes with a trail hitch reciever as well.

The First thing we noticed when we recieved our Unit was the weight. This is no plastic toy, it is built well and heavy duty. The powder coat is nice and everything seems top notch.

The install was cake and took us only about 25 miinutes. The unit itself lined up perfect to the mount and to the stock bolt holes on our Grizzly.

We took our Tiger Tail and put it right to work. We had a U-haul trailer stuck in the snow that needed to be removed for a customer. We backed up to it, hooked on and out it came. It was that simple.

We really enjoy the fact that the rope does not ever get slack in it so there is never mud or snow etc. all over the rope.

PROS:

• Looks Great
• Great Instructions
• Extremely easy to install.
• Super easy to use
• Always ready to go
• Retractable rope stays out of the mud and water while towing.

CONS:

• We found the rope to be a bit long when in the woods.
• Also we would have loved to lock the rope in at certain lengths and still have it retract from that point. (However, rope can be run threw the frame of stuck Quad and hooked to the Mount. There are 2 holes provided)
